Three years ago, in the heart of Duiven, a dream began in a modest sewing studio. What were once piles of colorful fabrics with Japanese prints, quickly turned into something special: a rediscovery of the traditional Japanese festival coat, the Happi Coat . But at Bamar Fashion, this timeless classic got its own twist.
Our journey began with a simple question: What if we gave these beautiful fabrics a new lease of life, not just for special occasions, but for every day? Inspired by the stories of a collaborator who was fully immersed in the world of anime and manga conventions, we envisioned a Happi Coat that embraced tradition, but exuded boldness and creativity.
